- 2–3 pounds Beef Brisket
- 1 tablespoon Liquid Smoke Flavoring
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme Leaves
- 1 tablespoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
- 18 ounces Barbecue Sauce
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine dried thyme, paprika, black pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and ground cumin.
- Rub the spice mix all over the beef brisket, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Set aside.
- Place 1 cup of water in your slow cooker.
- Position the spice-covered brisket in the water, pouring the liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce over it.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours.
- Carefully remove the brisket from the slow cooker, skim off any fat, and shred the meat with two forks.
- Return the shredded brisket to the slow cooker, add the barbecue sauce, and stir gently.
- Cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
