Description

A sweet and tangy lemon glaze perfect for drizzling over baked goods.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Add powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk together until very thick and well mixed. If needed, add in up to 1 additional tablespoon lemon juice to reach desired thickness—start by whisking in just a splash of lemon juice until very thick and glaze falls off the spoon slowly while holding its shape.
  3. You don’t want to over-liquefy the glaze. However, if it gets too thin, simply add in more powdered sugar to thicken.
  4. The texture you’re aiming for is very thick, just pourable glaze that falls very slowly off the spoon, thicker than honey.
  5. Pour over semi-cooled baked goods like muffins and breads.

Notes

  • For a thicker glaze, add more powdered sugar. For a thinner glaze, add more lemon juice gradually.
