This creamy chicken pasta is a delightful blend of fettuccine and tender chicken in a rich sauce.

- 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 1 pound chicken breast
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 medium onion (yellow or white)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add chicken breast seasoned with salt and pepper and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and chopped onion. Sauté until onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Lower the heat, add heavy cream and chicken broth, whisking to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions in a separate pot until al dente. Drain and add to the creamy sauce.
- Incorporate the chicken back into the sauce along with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix well and let simmer for a few more minutes.
- Sprinkle in red pepper flakes, stir, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can substitute half the heavy cream with milk.
- Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or broccoli for extra nutrition.
